The NORRIS CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
is a tuition-based program that provides each and every cast member a start-to-finish
fun, educational and nurturing experience. Our productions are full-scale musicals and plays,
directed and designed by professionals who are tops in the business.
SUMMER 2013 MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS:
Performances: JULY 19th-28th, 2013(for performers 8-20 yrs old) AUDITIONS: Friday, May 10th starting at 5pm OR Saturday, May 11th starting at 2pm Dance call is first, followed by individual singing.Sunday, May 12th - Callbacks at Director's request Rehearsals begin June 15th Rehearsal/Performance CalendarTuition: $600 (cast members also receive 50% discount for Musical Theater Academy) Wondering what to audition for? NOTE: Students CAN audition for both The Wiz AND Xanadu! If cast, they can even be in both!What Do I Need To Prepare?PAPERWORK: Please complete this AUDITION FORM and bring to audition.Be sure to LIST ALL CONFLICTS!AUDITION MATERIAL: Bring about one minute of a song that shows off your personality – it can be theater, pop or anything! Please bring sheet music in the correct key. No tracks or karaoke, no a capella auditions.ATTIRE: Come in comfortable clothes to move and dance in. Boys bring jazz shoes or sneakers; girls bring jazz and character shoes if you have them (sneakers are ok). You can change before your singing audition if you'd like.Auditions are held at our Norris Education Studios,27525 Norris Center Drive, Rolling Hills Estates
